ANSWERS:

a) The one that would inspire me the most would be "we fought" because it's like we fought for our rights.

b) The person that I have picked is Gabrielle Roy.

A French Canadian who grew up in poverty in Manitoba.Canadian literature changed in 1945.Gabrielle Roy translated that experience and her observations as a Montreal journalist into vivid depictions of urban misery. I picked this lady because she seems really interring. Here is something that Gabrielle Roy:

"To write, it’s a need, it’s almost physical. You cannot avoid picking up the pen. Or touching the white page that is there, stretched out. Totally ready to receive . . . And you write precisely because you want to give, because you want to share with others. Because you have felt, or understood, the truth of certain human beings and you must say it."Gabrielle Roy, Chatelaine, April 1966.

QUESTION:

7. Go back to your post and answer the following question:d.) Which History-Maker did you have the most in common with? Were you able to figure it out from the clues given? What do you share with that person? What are some things that are different between you and that person?

ANSWER:

The person that I got Matched up with was Laura Se cord. The things we have in common are that we both have sisters. She became a hero of the war of 1812 when she risked her life to warm the British that American troops were on their way to attack. She travelled
for 32 kilometers though woods and swamps, behind enemy lines,to deliver her message.
Her birthday is on September 13Th 1775 in Great Barring ton,Massachusetts. She had three younger sisters. Her mother died when she was only eight years old. I don't think that i have a lot in common with her, and it was not easy to tell that I would have been matched up with her.

8. Think long and hard about this part and then post an answer to this question on your blog:e.) One hundred years from now, (in 2109!) imagine that students are learning about Canadian History Makers and they discover you. What will you be remembered for? How were you a Canadian History Maker? You are using your imagination, so think about some things that you would like to accomplish in your life and imagine that you have all the accomplishments of your life to look back on. Write a short profile of yourself, imagining the contributions you have made to the future of Canada. (Write this as though you've lived your whole life. You may have been a phenomenal athlete, the first black Prime Minister, cured cancer...use your imagination!)
